Yes. Spoonly is free to download and use, with no subscription and no monthly fees.
No. There's no sign-up, no email, and no password. Download the app and start planning straight away.
Entirely on your device. Spoonly has no servers, no cloud, and no tracking. Your recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists never leave your phone.
Almost entirely. Planning meals, browsing recipes, building your shopping list — all of it runs on your device without internet. The one exception is importing a recipe from a link, which needs a connection to fetch that page.
No. Spoonly fetches only the page you link to, reads the recipe from it, and nothing else. No analytics, no tracking, no data about you or your device is ever sent.
Paste a link to a recipe from any website, and Spoonly reads it in for you — ingredients, steps, and photo included. This is the only time Spoonly connects to the internet.
Yes. Plan any day in any month, and copy an entire month's plan into the next month with a single tap.
Not yet. Right now Spoonly runs on one device, so meal plans and recipes live on the phone you use to plan. You can add every family member to your household and assign meals to each person, but the plan itself stays on one phone. Sharing across multiple devices is something we're exploring — let us know if you'd like it.
Yes. Spoonly comes with a collection of family-friendly recipes built in, so there's no blank screen when you start.
Open any recipe and add all its ingredients to your shopping list in one tap, or add items yourself. Check them off as you shop — each item remembers which meal it came from.
English and Spanish.
Spoonly requires iOS 26 or later on iPhone. There's no Android or web version.
Because everything is stored on your device, deleting the app removes your Spoonly data. There's no cloud backup, so keep that in mind before deleting.
